come on...30 years ago...most -not all- married women didn't have to work. so now maybe they only do 4 total hours of housework a week, in addition to their jobs, and being school Moms and such. this is the time when most husbands (most of my friend's husbands and mine...not sure about you) pitch in and help out with the menial tasks of daily home life. Oprah has nothing to do with it...and even if she did...it's only an hour a day...not all day.

Like Rio said, it is due to the fact that more women are choosing to work and therefore don't have time to do household chores.

That's very funny. If you had ever learned to read, you would note that this is because more mothers are working and more fathers are taking on some of the housework.
