Just ask nicely. It's only hard the first time. It does get easier. It was so much easier back in my day (coughs coughs) when guys went around and put their names on our dance cards. Scarlett O'Hara always had hers filled in right away. The hussy. Seriously, just pick someone nice and ask. Don't go for the impossible girl the first time. Start with someone just nice.

You just gotta ask her. I know its kinda scary- but you wont be doing any dancing if you dont ask. Be polite.
