Thank you for choosing a strong pretty classic name that isn't soap-opera-ish, or a "made up" name of your own invention or a weird cutesy spelling that so many people are doing nowadays! Ugh! As for the answerer five down from the top - I'm sure there are thousands of Emma's and Madison's and Avery's, etc. right now. Beautiful and classic names never completely go out of style but are indeed a rarity and less common right now, which happen to think is great!
My options:
Elizabeth Elaine
Elizabeth Elise
I think both above are very pretty but I happen to like alliteration which is is the repetition of a leading vowel or consonant sound in a phrase, like Peter Piper Picked a Pepper....
I think a name should pass two tests:
1. You can imagine yourself screaming it at your kid across a playground and
2. It's a name that can be taken seriously at the top of a resume when they enter the job world.
Elizabeth Kate fits the bill for both!

After a name with the length of Elizabeth (4 syllables) and the elegance that it portrays, to use the monosyllabic "Kate" seems odd. Followed by Foret, her name does not roll off the tongue and sounds chopped.
Elizabeth Katherine Foret
Elizabeth Mallory Foret
Elizabeth Madison Foret
...are the first three that popped into mind...of them, I prefer Elizabeth Katherine. If you make the jump from 4 syllables in one name to 1 syllable in the next, it doesn't sound as good.
Congrats, though, and good luck finding what is right for your child!

Elizabeth Kate is lovely. the name Elizabeth has a few nick names attached to it if you choose to use them, or your daughter may choose to later on, Beth, Elly, Eliza, Liz, Lilly. would your name be good as a middle name ? or your mum, grandma etc ? Elizabeth Foret sounds really elegant. good luck

I think it sounds perfect : ) Congrats on the baby!! Another idea is to write down all the names you like and take the list to the hospital, take a look at your baby girl and decide the day she is born !! : ) I like Kate as a middle name personally though.

I think that is cute. I like Elizabeth and Kate. Plus, there are so many nickname choices with Elizabeth you can't really go wrong. Liz, Betsy, Eliza, Beth, Izzie, and on and on.

I think it's lovely.....my great niece (who is a twin, girl and boy), is named Faith Elizabeth. The Faith is my middle name. I felt very honored.
Congratulations on the new addition.

It's a lovely name, but you are questioning it, so it isn't right for you. What name do YOU love? Your hubby gets Elizabeth; what about you?
