If a doctor inappropriately touches his/her patients under the guise of performing their job, and the patient allowed the touching to occur, do you believe that same patient can later claim that they were victimized upon finding out the doctor was simply making an excuse to cop a feel? Why or why not?

Regardless of the offender's position of trust, I personally think it would be absurd to think a person could go from being "not victimized" to "victimized" just because the context of the situation changed.

This is in regards to the dentist who massaged the breasts of 27 patients under the guise of treating a particular jaw ailment.

Under certain circumstances..fro example a gynocologist(who's feeling down around there anyways..and if its the ONLY one ever known to the patient they might not be the wiser) or a regular doctor giving a breast exam that ligers a little too long..or rolls the nipple in his fingers..... Thats wrong on the doctors fault the patient has o knowledge of prcedures and expects a professional to be just that....
.******ON THE OTHER HAND****
I didnt go to densistry school..and I certainly dont have a degree in ANY medical field..BUT there is no way....on this planet that i would allow a dentist to fondle my TA TAs and say it was to fix my jaw.....that's all on the patient there....

idk what it ends up being later on!!! but when I was 18 I was hurt at work and the Workman's comp. doctor did a breast exam, I only had a pulled muscle in my neck. I allowed it to happen! LOL I didn't know what to say, and i was so stunned that something like that would happen to me that I went into a sort of shock! I never mentioned it or said anything about it and to this day 10 years later it has still not been reported because I allowed it to happen! So was I victimized or not LOL I allowed it to happen!

we have to admit that many people especially women trust doctors a lot. And sometimes they are uncertain about what doctors do at that time of examination and assume it's ok. But after discussing this with their friends come to realize that what the doctor did was unappropriate so that's the time they go ahead and sue. So i feel they have the right ot sue once they find out that the act was vitimizing...

I'm just wondering why that one woman went back like six times. I mean really. Anyhow, I think it's completely possible to be caught totally off guard the FIRST time, but I would never go back a second time. Geez some people!

i believe its wrong. but with the dentist. if the people were using that laughing gas they cant think straight. on the other hand, if it was like a check up and that happened it should have been stopped immediately and reported right away.

No.

But, I think that the Dr. had something right in his treatment method, but didn't realize that he should have suggested that she do her own breasts massages to treat her jaw condition.

he shouldn't be touching inappropriate places, I would have reported him after I had kicked him where it hurt.
