There's talk in league circles that former Chargers, Redskins, Chiefs, and Browns head coach Marty Schottenheimer wants to return to the NFL. But not as a head coach. The scuttlebutt is that Marty wants to come back as a General Manager.

What do you think? Think that Dean Spanos is smart enough to FIRE AJ SMITH and hire Marty Schottenheimer as General Manager? I would be 100% all for it (as long as they got rid of Norv Turner when they took out the rest of the trash).

Nope. Marty did not make it as a coach; he can't win playoff games, probably will not make a good GM either.

That would be perfect justice, good for the stupor Chargers, and great for NFL ratings. Too bad the owner is too egotistical for such a good move.
