-for male models-

First you need to ask yourself three things....
1. are you photogenic?
2. do you have a fit body? (having a six pack is the minimum requirement for a male model)
3. do you have a distinct characteristic?
(you can be gorgeous but not have a character, and that is pretty much useless)

Now to get started...
1. You can pay to get a portfolio done
2. you can work for free for those photography major kids and in exchange, they will give you a porfolio

Now to find the agencies..
The easiest way to get into an agency is through a recommendation from a famous photographer or a fashion designer. If you dont have the connections, then you have to try extra hard.

Send your photos out to many reputable model agencies. I am sure one of them will call you for a meeting if you have any potentials.
