What if he comes back after few days and delivers a nicely packed parcel to you? What if ,when you open the parcel in you house and find a big fat stinking (rotten)fish inside? In a few years time,I think a postman shall become a rare-sight phenomenon and then, you may miss him.

As a mattter of fact, yes. We are the floater route, we never have the same person, so we can never tell WHEN the mail is going to run. It could be 7 am or 7 at night.

No. I like my mailman; he is a nice person that will get out of his van and put things on the porch that do not fit in mailboxes. He is always friendly and saya hi when I am outside.
It's a bad habit to generalize about people.

Uh, not really. I do feel like starting a bonfire with all the bills and using the flames to make some nice s'mores while I laugh hysterically.

I don't think the previous answerers realise we have had this post-strike on in the UK! I didn't mind not getting my bills in the post - but I do mind not knowing if things I have sent have got where they should have done, - so if you have a spare mackerel send it to me please - oh just realised you can't lol!

No - he goes too fast on his motorbike for me to catch him. Plus I don't like fish so wouldn't have it in the house and it would leave my hands smelling icky
