Can anyone explain to me why Hasek came back for another year? it is clear that he has nothing left, but to flop on the ice and hope for a lucky save. It is getting ridiculous to watch this.

I was thinking the same thing.

Between his erratic sloppy play, and the 10billion penaltys tonight, I don't know which was worse...

So far this season Osgood looks like the better goalie, I say if he doesn't kick things up a notch, give Ozzy the #1 job.

Watching him play though, does make me want to go ice fishing already.....the way he flops on the ice like a suffocating fish.

I can't complain too much though, he did do a fine job in the playoffs last season, hopefully he can repeat that.

hey id like to see you try that. hasek is one of the most hated goaltenders in the league right now and its all because of Rbk and the "new" way to play goal. Just because he plays diffrentley than other keeps doesnt make him a bad goalie. and on top of that, Hasek has been playing in the NHL before some of the new goalies were even born. He's seen the game evolve over the past 40 years and i think that he and brodeur are the only two goalies in the league that are playing the way that they did less than five years ago. Im sick of hearing all this crap about how Hasek is horrible and how he should go and leave hockey because he has no right to be playing. well my friend, Hasek is one of the least predictable goaltenders in the league and this keeps the players on their toes, it keeps them from doing the same move in the shootout everytime and from knowing how to score on every shot. so why dont you appreciate what he has done for the game and enjoy watching him play.

There's not a gooalie in the NHL born after Hasek started playing the NHL. You had to be born BEFORE September 15, 1989 to be drafted this past June.

Hased played his first game OVER a year later.

Is it so hard to confirm your stats?

Hasek is a notoriously slow starter. This is most likely his last year. We shall see how it pans out.

You go high on him enough and he will breakdown... but you still want him between the pipes in a big game. Biggest mistake detroit made was blaming Manny Legace for their playoff failures and letting him walk...
