It sure as hell ain't with Bush cuz his back accounts are monitored so any money that goes in would be seen. It ain't with the oil companies cuz we don't have any oil extracting plans in Iraq. The only way to get oil is by using the Iraqi oil processing plants and those are controlled by the Iraqi government.

I don't see how Iraq's oil controls the outcome of the world its just one country there are other countries that have oil you know.

Wait so if the elite control the gas prices why don't they just make the prices higher without invading? Wouldn't we still buy either ways?

First off, you have to know why. Yes, we are in Iraq for the oil. We are splitting it up into 4 sections so there will be constant fighting, a reason for us to stay, and free oil basically. Then we attack Iran, get more oil, and the gas prices will double. Why is this? Logically if you get more of something for free, wouldn't you then charge less?

Wrong. This is the elite controlling the prices. They are quickly gaining control of major oil areas, and by doing so, they can raise the gas prices higher and higher cause they control more and more, and since you have to have gas, and oil, and other petroleum products, you'll still pay. And they know this. So when they gain control of Iran's oil, you better believe gas will go to between $5 and $6.

Just remember this, people that control oil aren't like normal companies. If a company gets massive amounts of 1 item, they can sell it for cheaper. But an oil company is the exact opposite. The more oil they control, the higher amount they will make it.

EDIT: True, logically taking over a single country would seem like nothing. But the fact is Iraq and that whole area, has the most oil. Sure other places has oil too, but when you can control a region, harvest the oil for yourself, then slowly break away from the people that supplies oil to us now, you can essential control the amount of money you make, and the amount you will spend.

If the elite were to raise the gas prices up to $6 a gallon, we would just buy more from our other resources. Its not so much they aren't, but more like they can't yet. They have to control more then the other resources.

I am only 20, I can remember when gas was 0.99. And it wasnt that long ago. Then all of a sudden we go to war and attack Iraq, and Afghanistan, and Kuwait, and all the other wars that started in the 90's till now. And look at the gas prices. Here its $3.09 for the lowest grade.

Correct, just because the oil is high doesn't mean the economy is down. But, the fact is right now, the economy is close to crashing. The housing market is so weak right now, that people are losing jobs, and then their houses. Its a processes thats coming to a head very shorty. Its all about the housing right now, the oil is not the issue for the economy.

The housing market is just about crashed. And if this happens, the economy goes too. Why? First, all the people that work in housing will have no jobs. They will be cut down to alot less pay. The result? They lose their house to the government.

And right now as it is, houses aren't selling cause they cost way too much. Where I live, a small 2 story house, 30ft by about 40ft, on a small peice of property, 5ft on each sides, 10ft in the back, and 25 ft in the front, costs $295,000+. Thats like, $2500 monthly house payments. And if theres no good jobs, no one can buy these small expensive houses, if no one can buy them, production stops, when this happens, people lose jobs, and then more houses go on the market, which essentially will crash this economy.

When the first tanks rolled into Iraq two FOB's (Forward Operating Bases) were set up. Ironically, they were named Shell and Exxon....someones idea of a joke. It was so funny that Rumsfeld flew into a rage and demanded that the names be changed...immediately! Just before the tanks rolled, Vice President Dick Cheney had a series of close doored meetings with a series of Oil Mafia godfathers...meetings that the public will never get any information on...why the secrets? How much imagination does it take to figure it out? The first objective of the invading force that wasn't strictly military was the offices of the Iraqi Oil Ministry. Wow...surprise, surprise! The Bush Junta set up a 'Vichy Iraq' government that's almost totally restricted to 'Fort Green Zone'..what's the big issue for this 'government'....not basic infastructure or even security, but an 'Oil Law'. Let's at least be honest about this war...it was never about WMD or the fact that Saddam was a dirty no good bum....if the Bush administration was up front about this war they would have simple told the American people the real reason, O.I.L, or at least the unlimited profits that oil generates for them what controls it! The war cry should never have been 'Iraqi Freedom...it should have been, 'Kick their @ss and take the gas'! Given a few more months oil will be at $100 a barrel and believe me the Oil Mafia is going to have a picnic while the American wage-earner is going to be out a half a days pay just to get to work...if he still has a job! Too bad the 'liberal' media isn't all over this story..I guess they have all they can handle still pitchin' Anna Nicole, Larry the gay senator and some cat in tree. What a bunch of suckers we are!

You must keep in mind things didn't go in Bush's favor and his plan back fired on him big time.
He expected a quick result and everything would be great and the people would be thankful and good relations would continue thereafter. Trade would then flow into the US and back.

But this never happened and anyone with any intelligence knew that was never going to happen.
Iraq is about a war criminal who invaded a country on a false pretense. There is no doubt over this.

The people of Iraq are and have been worse off now than most could ever remember. So if there's any benefit for the people it will be long coming and most likely not in the next few generations. Everyone till then will suffer or die in that time frame.

Iraq was and is a major disaster that will not return to any normality for generations to come.
Imagine if this happened in the US and how they would feel.

This was caused by the US and all the terror unleased on the US would be small consolation to all those that have already lost their lives since the Iraq invasion by the US. People will suffer like anything there in Iraq and no one is safe.

The US should perhaps start offering Iraq immigration relocation progams for those that want it in the US for what they have caused. Many have no future in Iraq. Perhaps some could have a better life in the US.
Let the US offer what they preach.

There actually has been a lot of oil pumped out of Iraq. Just look at the profits of the big 4 (Exxon, Mobil, BP, and Shell). Iraq was absolutely, without a doubt about control of the Iraqi oil fields and gaining strategic military bases in the middle east.

The Iraqi Parliament hasn't agreed on or passed the Iraq Hydrocarbon Act ....yet that requires Iraq to open their oil up to a bidding system that will allow companies like BP and Shell and Standard and all of the other oil companies to get into the development and exploration of Iraqi oil!!!!!

This Act is legalized pillaging!!!

It hasn't been finalized yet!

Read the "Iraq Hydrocarbon Act". You can find it on government websites!

Aside: Even when/if this does come to pass what makes you think the price of a gallon of gasoline will go down????
These companies are in it for their economic benefit NOT the consumers benefit!

Well, I'm not exactly sure how it works, but I'm pretty sure that it isn't just a matter of running in, grabbing as much oil as you can and running out. Fighting a war over oil is much more complicated.

*good point Huevos, if the price of something is going up it usually means the economy is going up because people have and are spending more money.

Wow, I didn't know American's followed the Canadian Dollar! Originally when our (Canadian) dollar started rising they said it was because the American economy was dropping but the last year it has actually been cause by Canada's own booming (oil fueled) economy. We, in fact, have A LOT of untapped oil. We've only begin to open it up.

a million. Iraq oil has the biggest "shown" oil reserves and become our variety a million US exporter. 2. With sanctions in position, the US might want to now no longer anticipate Iraq for oil. 3. on the on the spot, our 3 top exporters of oil to the US are Mexico. Canada and Saudi Arabia(it really is noticeably insecure as resources pass) that is an extremely small element of a record to congress about Iraqi oil: Iraq’s skill oil wealth remains oftentimes unrealized. significant shown reserves exist, and there are probably more suitable components searching ahead to discovery. yet oil production has been sluggish to totally get better in the course of the submit-Saddam era, and many hindrances stand contained in the way of reaching a strong export pass. apart from, refineries are in opt for of rehabilitation, necessitating imports of gas and cooking gas interior Iraq. regardless of those issues, the existence of large components exhibits elementary exploitation and rewarding export income that could want to help fund Iraq’s redevelopment. Are we re-construction Iraq or have become those oil wells waiting to pass? And helping American agencies get up and operating? no longer to instruct the $12 billion despatched over to Iraq in funds by technique of Bremer-ans is lacking. surprisingly, this become many times the money the US Coalition took custody of from the UN Oil for nutrition "scandal". So, they were corrupt and spending it badly and we made it disappear?

Dude, you seem to have got it a bit wrong. Its true that US has successfully "secured" their future thanks to the Oil on Iraq, but US spent trillions of dollars of the Tax payers' money to win Iraq. US even borrowed money from countries to invade Iraq. So they are indebted to countries. And the economy is at an all time low as the manufacturing and service sector have moved out of US. The IT industry too seems to be moving out of US.

There is not much of any sector left out there and the dollar is just falling and falling and falling as Americans sit at their homes acting lazy, watching TV, eating McDonalds burgers and say,"America is really sinking".

So if it is, what are you doing to stop it? Stand up, be counted and take up some responsibility before its too late

It doesn't matter how much oil we get or how cheap crude becomes, if you listen to companies talk it is a problem of not being able to refine oil into gasoline quickly enough. In other words they want the government to give them more refineries but are perfectly willing to charge us an arm and a leg and make millions of dollars an hour in the mean time.

It's not directly about the oil, but about control in the region. And the oil is there; you should be questioning why Exxon is making obscene profits (billions in a single quarter). It's a level of politics, economics and global domination on a scale that's hard for Joe Everyday to wrap his mind around.
