the bank will consider this a LEDGER deposit Friday. Then, depending on their availability schedule, it could be Tuesday, or later before you can use these funds. There are several factors that affect availability: where was the check drawn (what location is the bank that issued it?) How much is the check for? Some banks will make the first $ 100 available the next business day (Monday) if you have a long time relationship with them. Best bet is to CALL THE BANK AND ASK THEM.

I once deposited a check that my roommate gave me for his half of the rent and the money hit my account a few days later. Three WEEKS later the check bounced, the money was pulled out of my account, I was charged a fee for HIS bad check, as well as several resulting NSF fees from other stuff. When I asked the bank representative how long I had to wait to make sure a check wouldn't bounce, my roommate was rather unreliable and I figured there was a decent chance this might happen again, I was told there is NO time limit. The other bank at any time in the future can come back and say "Whoops, that check was bad" and take the money back

Most deposits made before 3 clear the same day but I can not say for sure since I don't know your bank but usually by 3 the next business day, some will go after 3 on sat. since most banks are opened that day.

A small check usually is posted to my account the same day but if you deposited a large one they can hold the funds for a few days. I would call the bank if you don't see it online when you check your account.

This all depends on how much the check is for, and the institution the check is from? Checks with larger amounts usually take longer to clear than checks with smaller amounts. Also, if the institution is well known or a large institution the check will usually clear faster than with a smaller, lesser known institution.

depending on the bank, I would say funds would be available on Tuesday. Other factors could be dollar amount of the check though.

Why wouldn't you just ask the bank? Sorry, but i don't see how asking that question here would get you a definate answer, considering it is beamed all around the world, and not every bank has the same processes and turn-around times.
