That's a good one .I usually pick mine up ,not mine the dogs .
I will leave one in the yard for a while.

Must be because people clean it up quicker then they did in the past. Left out long enough it still turns white. Take a walk in an open un cared for field and you'll find it. Edit: I am amazed at how many people answered this question! As an adult I think we spend less time exploring undeveloped areas so we miss out on seeing white dog poop.
