I want you to describe to me your idea of a dissapointing husband.....not mean or abusive ....i don't mean that.....as far as just normal life and everyday things.....what could push you to the point of saying quits? mine says he loves me daily, plays with the kids, goes to work everyday, but he is a lazy a**hole in the purest sense of the word. i am not getting in to all that, i want your opinions, married people especially. thanks

i suffer from depression not him!! i ask for help with the kids, he sits on his butt, while i run and chase after them, cook dinner, feed them, bathe them, put pajama's on, read to them, put them to bed and thats just what i do at night.

Marriage is a partnership. It does not sound like you are getting any help from him. I have been married almost 15 years. My husband works and does any and all housework, cooking or laundry that needs to be done. He also helped take care of the kids when they were little. I would not have settled for any less. My husband does all of this but thinks that I should not mow grass or fix the car because that is his job. Tell him what you need and see what he does. He does not have to be mean for you to be unhappy. Can you live the rest of your life like this? That is what you need to answer. Good luck.

I left my husband becasue he was lazy. He didnt want to work and would regularly quit jobs when his superior told him something extra to do. He didnt "know how" to balance the checkbook, yet spent money (when the account was in my name because his credit sucked that bad) like there was no tomorrow. When I got a successful job, he would always try to bring me down and eventually started treating me like crap. I was basically a sex toy to him, that he would use and discard when he need. Now he is my ex. Good luck. Hope things work out one way or the other.

Was he like this before you married him? If so then you should have decided then whether this rather large fault was one you could tolerate long term. If he has just gotten lazier and lazier I would consider that he might be suffering from depression. There are lots of ways to treat depression if you can get him to a doctor for treatment.
