Hi, I bought Resident Evil 4 for Gamecube a couple days ago, and I've played roughly 9:30 hours into it and I'm on chapter 4-4. I was wondering how long it would take me to beat the entire game....

My second question is, once i beat the game, how would i obtain the Chicago Typewriter?

My third question is, can i save the game at the final boss, and just use a regular rocket launcher to kill him, save the special rocket launcher and then sell it for cash...and just keep repeating this stage for increased numbers of money.

My four and final question is, how can i obtain easy money...quick and easy.

Thanks ^_^

P.S. i didn't sit on the game for 10 hours, I left it on for a couple of hours one day and my time saved >_>

Thanks again!

m_brinks's answer is right on. The only thing I'd like to add is I know of 2 great sites with VIDEO walkthroughs, and that would not only help you when you were stuck but it would also give you an idea of exactly how long you have left in the game. Here you go!

(Next-Gen Walkthroughs RE4 Main Page):
http://www.nextgenwalkthroughs.com/systems/gamecube/residentevil4/index.php

(StuckGamer Video Walkthroughs RE4 Main Page):
http://www.stuckgamer.com/gui_res_evil_4_01.shtml

Enjoy, this is a great game. It's even better playing through with that Chicago Typewriter with unlimited ammo. It's a sweet Tommy Gun, so you can shoot 'em up mobster style!

Also, here is the video walkthrough for Assignment Ada if you need it:
http://www.stuckgamer.com/gui_res_evil_4_05.shtml

Also, you unlock the Grenade Launcher with unlimited ammo after completing the game once. It costs 1,000,000 PTA's, and the Chicago Typewriter also costs 1 million PTA's once you unlock it.

And, the posters that are saying you have to beat it on Professional mode to unlock the CT are WRONG! You only have to beat Assignment Ada on the GameCube version, I know it for a fact. Just to show you it's true, this is a direct quote from this walkthrough:
http://faqs.ign.com/articles/580/580537p1.html

"With all five of them in your inventory ride the elevator up to the tower section and examine the panel to contact the chopper for a scene. For completing the Assignment Ada you unlock the ability to buy the 'Chicago Typewriter' from the merchant in the main game. This is an infinite ammo machine gun with some serious power, it costs 1,000,000 but worth every Ptas."

This section is about 3/4 down the walkthrough, in the "Assignment Ada" section.

The game has 6 chapters (though the sixth one is just the final boss fight), so you are probably about 2-3 hours from being done.

To get the Typewriter, you have to beat the game to unlock Assignment Ada, then beat Assignment Ada (which if you pay attention to your map should only take an hour; there's no saving though). Then any time you load up a Round 2+ file (load a saved file that has already beaten the game once), you can buy the CT for 1 million peseta. Since you can't change difficulties in the same save file, you'll have to start a new game on Professional difficulty and play all the way through without the super weapons if you want them in Pro.

No. You could do the trick for keeping the Special Rocket (heck, you can potentially beat him without a Rocket Launcher at all, but it takes loads of ammo). But you can't just repeat that fight. Plus, I'm pretty sure the Special RL has the same sell price as the regular one. They function exactly the same. It's the Infinite RL that's the expensive one.

To get money fast, keep playing through the game, making sure to grab every treasure and combine the ones you can combine in order to increase their value. on the GC version, you can get something like 800K in a run.

Depends how good you are at it but i would say about 1-3 more hours.

You get the Chicago Typewriter by beating the game on the professional setting.

Never tried to use a regular rocket launcher to defeat him but it might work. If not, take out your shotgun, shoot him in his eye, jumo on his back and stab him. Works really well without using the rocket launcher.

Easiest way to get money is to not buy the TMP and always buy a treasure map and get everything you can. Bigger cases always help a lot too.

If you want to get all of this a bit faster, go out and buy an Action Replay for the gamecube. Gives you all the weapons and infinate money.

Any other questions you may have feel free to Email me, ive played this game way too much and love talking about it lol.

They all have different weapons and thus different strengths. Just use the weapons like you would in the campaign mode to the best of your ability and you should be able to get the five stars.
