GO ROCKIES! 1995 is correct. The revival of lower downtown Denver (Lo-Do) started in the late 1980s. Plans for a baseball stadium were part of the plan to transform what used to be a nasty, falling down, inner-city neighborhood. The Lo-Do revival also involved new construction, revamping old historic buildings and turning them into upscale shops, restaurants and lofts. The lofts overlooking Coors Field go for over a million dollars!

If you haven't been there, it really is an amazing sight!

BTW, thanks for asking this question...the instant I started answering, the Rockies started scoring! *smile*
