So why do Democrats act like Bush is anti childrens health care?

SCHIP funding was 1.9 billion when Bush was elected, it is 5.4 billion now.

Thats a 184% increase in just 7 years.

The Democrats smell blood and think the Republicans and Bush will come across as weak and anti-child on this issue.

For a good many people who don't look beyond the headlines this tactic will work and the Democrats will pick up a few votes. For some people who think this is an attack on credibility it may mean a few Democrats who might have gotten their vote won't get it because the same brush will paint the whole party.

I am so sick of politics. I will vote in the next election but I may have to hold my nose when I do it.

I don't know where you get your info; www.stuck-up-bush's_***.com? For one thing, your info is completely off, your faith in Bush is completely misguided, and you're too proud of it. Leave the Davey Crockett critique at bay.

Bush told the Health Administration that after the current SCHIP program was to expire, they were to cut the funding in half and make it work. Thus, leaving more kids unprovided. Federal funding for SCHIP fell 26% in 2002, 2003, and 2004. From $4.25 billion to $3.12 billion. Then in 2004 and 2005 $1.4 billion in unspent, recirculated funds were absorbed back into the U.S. Treasury, rather than to help kids.

Bush's "greatest achievment" was his "no child left behind" act that was basically a failure. Many states couldn't afford to meet the standards due to lack of federal funding provided to make the standards achievable. So basiaclly...it was never really supposed to happen. All he cared about was getting the bill passed with his name on it to make him look good. He is assnine, ignorant, and far from compitent to lead a local bar, let alone a country. You should get your info from more than fox news or whatever government regulated news program you watch.
