Destiny is decided at birth some people say. Some things can exscape destiny. (example a cow to some there destiny is to die and be made into meat but some cows can run away and there they exscape there own fate.) People who belive they can change there fate try there hardest to exscape a destiny they dont want. Do you belive you can exscape destiny? Do you follow your path that was decided at birth? Most people fail and or like there destiny some people hate and fail at trying to find a new path. Most people question is fate different from destiny or are they same? What do you belive?

I think that we create our own destinies in life. These destinies can be affected by things that we have no control over. But ultimately, our own choices - thoughts and actions, decide our fate.

Well that's what I believe, but you do make a good point!

If you've ever heard the song 'Drops of Jupiter' by Train, the song kind of talks about a girl trying to figure out life. What's interesting is that the singer said the song was inspired by the death of his mother, and that the opening lines came to him in a dream. It's almost like he was destined to write this song.

Human beings, as well as animals and inanimate events have the ability to break the chains of strict causality postulated by Determinism.

We are thus free to influence our affairs and our destiny. In changing our future from what it would have been without the interaction triggered by our free will, we are changing the very universe of which we are an integral part.

With the intervention of free will, our future, and thus the future of the universe, will follow a path different from the path it would have pursued without our intervention.

In addition to scientific considerations, common sense insists that Free Will exists. Who would deny that we have Free Will when we put one foot in front of the other and decide, of our own volition, of our own Free Will, to go for a walk or not go for a walk? It is clearly irrational to believe that a chain of causality at the time of the Big Bang determines if we go for a walk this afternoon, or not.

You make your own destiny. Remember, you have free will and so does everybody else. So your destiny is based on the decisions you and others make. Nothing else.
