Several years ago I had a neighbor that would give the kids a choice, candy or a quarter. We had around two hundred trick-or-treaters at that time each year. The neighbor moved several years ago. There isn't as many children in the neighborhood anymore, so we only have around 30 to 40 trick-or-treaters each year now. Some of them are children of the children that used to trick-or-treat...it makes it fun.

I knew a few families who gave out money. On my lil block, I had people giving out quarters or pennies, but down the street people were giving away giant candy bars and dollar bills. The best one was this older lady who gave you little toys or candy or dollar bills tucked into those little bubble balls u get from machines. Pretty cool. When I'm rich enough, I'm gonna do that, lol.

My grandparents, to me. I have seen people give out money, but not dollars, just coin, such as quarter, dime, nickel, kind of depending on the children's age. I think that's only after they run out of candy and when the end of the night is slow, I highly doubt anyone does it all night long.
Where do you live? I want to take my kids to the people up the hill.

This one person in my neighborhood has a 1 mile long driveway...and if your drive up there, they jsut give you normal candy, but if you walk up there, they give you a kingsized candy bar and a 5 spot. ITs prty cool...but they are rich and have cameras on their driveway, so you cant just drive most of the way then jump out and walk the rest.
