Any recommendations on stuff we "have" to do? Anything else we should know?

The lines are much better after the summer rush is over. The big rides are usually the best, it really depends on what you like to do. I have always enjoyed the Poltergiest and I still lover the Rattler because of my love of wooden rollercoaters, but I think Tony Hawk is good as well as Superman. I would just get a map, start with the ones to the right, avoid the water rides if it not warm and sunny, and work around the park.

well, during this time of year, its not that bad. however, six flags do have something called express pass. its where you pay something like $15 for 5 tickets and you get to get on 5 rides without waiting in line. i did that a couple of months ago and i would have to say that it is worth it. check with the info booth on the right as soon as you walk in.

Just like most parks, I would recommend going to the back of the park (near the Krypton Coaster, or as far back as the Power Surge or the new Tony Hawk ride) and working your way forward.
I loved the new Tony Hawk one, but I went last March. When we went the line for it was extremely long, so you might want to get to that one as soon as you can.

Kids in school go on break that weekend so my guess is that its going to be packed. Personally I think its a bad day to go because the lines are going to be longer than usual. 2.5hr wait on tatsu usually. Try to go during a weekday if you can. Either that or get there early so you can get into the best rides first.

Fright Fest is on at Fiesta. the weather should be perfect. Lines not as long as peak summer season
