there are a lot of answers to this.
lower your expectations of what you think is owed to you by life.
seek and make contact with a higher power.build a relationship with that higher power and pray daily for guidance.
lower your expectations of what you think others should be doing to make you happy.
don't set limitations on your happiness IE "Ill be happy when I'm__________( rich ,married, single etc) fill in the blank.
stop blaming people , places ,situations for how your life sucks.(If only my dad hadn't been a drunk-my mother hadn't left me-- I had bigger boobs-- He hadn't cheated on me -etc .
live in the now, not the past that you cannot change or the future which may never come.
throw away excess negative baggage .IE toxic people ,negative attitudes ,sick relationships.
clear away past garbage ,deal with old hurts, forgive and live.make amends to those you,ve hurt.pay old debts.ask for forgiveness
accept yourself for who you are today.forgive your failings .decide who you want to be tomorrow and stand firm.
be true to yourself.
repeat untill you have relief.
I have the peace that passeth all understanding.
it isn't B.S.
but it isn't free either. It didn't come overnight and involved acting daily on the disciplines written above. Number one of which was making contact with a higher power of my own understanding and seeking through prayer and meditation to find wisdom of his will in my life.
you cant get here from there under your own power, If you havent proved that to yourself yet ,well then youre not ready.
peace><>

My inner peace: I listen and follow my heart and I discard of any negative energy around me. I take time to love and get to no ''me'' and not wait for others to dictate what should happen in my life.
It's not bs at all, it's a feeling pure serenity, a feeling of flying free like a bird. : )

Inner peace is when you can look in the mirror and see a person that has done their best. A person you can be proud of.

"Inner Piece" to me is an internal organ.
"Inner Peace" to me is allowing the world to be as it is.

The way to finding inner peace is to sit in a quiet room....and meditate. Go within....or you go without.

I was born with inner peace. It began to falter in my teen years. Many years later it worsened. Now -- not much inner peace. Like Mel Brooks titled his movie - "Life Sucks."
