I was told by a college professor that when you answer those personality tests before getting hired somewhere and they ask you if you ever stole anything from an employer, if you say no then they automatically disregard your application. What if you are someone who has never taken anything, even a pen, pencil, tablet? Isn't it a shame that we have gotten to be the kind of society where we have to lie to be accepted?

Why would you feel it necessary to lie? What makes you think that the college professor is correct? Maybe his information is incorrect or only applies to one company. You should always be truthful. Any company that wants you to lie isn't worth working for.
