I agree with Max about the team looking legit, even with their terrible schedule, and while I don't agree with a playoff, a 4 teamer wouldn't be bad. A 16 teamer would really suck. I don't mind the BCS to much, but it definatly needs tweaked. It's not so much the system as the voters. To the indians guy, OSU scheduled washington 6 years ago when they were the pac ten champs. OSU pretty much schedules who they want, like texas the last two years, USC the next two, and Miami FLA, for the next two after that.
Would I have OSU in the championship game if it were held today, probably, but I could see where you wouldn't. If they win out, I don't think there is any question they are deserving. Take away one game where they played a very good florida team, were over confident, and lost their best player on the first play of the game, and people would be talking about how OSU is the greatest team of all time. I am not taking anything away from Florida, they were a great team, and played great.

Their schedule will get tougher and I believe they will lose a game either at Penn State or at Michigan. Even if they go undefeated it depends on the strength of schedule for the one loss team. I'd take Ohio State over a one loss team if the one loss team were USF, BC, or someone else with a weak schedule. The computers may knock Ohio State out of the picture even if they are unbeaten because the SEC and PAC-10 are so tough this year. I would rather see a one loss SEC or PAC-10 team in the championship game than Ohio State because of the schedule. You have to really good to get through those conferences with 1 loss this year.

Yeah Josh_hut, and we all know how their first two games against #2 ranked teams prepared them so well...
I hate the Buckeyes, and I am a gator...and I just made a joke about OSU, BUT
their team this year looks legit, even if their schedule isn't. I hate to say it, but they will, and probably should go to the NC game if they are undefeated. Maybe they'll get blown out, maybe not. But they'll have done all they could have and deserve a shot at the title.
What we really need is a playoff...even just a 4-team playoff would fix the problem, unless the trend for parity continues the way it has.

They deserve to go. You cant always predict how a schedule will play out. Last year OSU played #2 three times including the Championship game. Ususally they schedule a OU, Texas, or USC but couldnt get a tougher non-conference commitment for this season. Until they change the system all you can do is play the game to win.

1 loss teams should go ahead of Ohio State. Ohio Stateis constantly overrated and are in bed with some of those sports writers. Ohio State doesn't have the talent to win the championship and definitely do not deserve to be there. I'm pretty sure if Cal and LSU win the rest of their games that would be the two teams for the national championship.

:Yes, they should go. They are ranked no. 1 now, and will play, 2, maybe 3, ranked teams before the end of the season.
Michigan, Penn State, possibly Wisconsin. All big-time programs play horrible non-conference schedules. It just so happens, that up to this date, Oct.16, OSU's conference schedule, through NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN, has been weak. That will all change in the next month when they play, U. Dub. PSU, and Michigan.

Depends on who the 1-loss team is. OSU's strength of schedule does improve over the next few weeks, if only for the fact that they're playing Big Ten teams who feasted on the weak sisters of the MAC and Notre Dame.
If they manage to go unbeaten, they will be in the title game, though the result will be eerily similar to last year's demolition at the hands of Florida.

Sadly No. There will not be an SEC team in the big dance. Its hard to say ohio st. will make it but if u look at their remaining schedule, its not very tough. And i also see Either Nebraska or Oklahoma going undefeated and making it to the championship. If TCU,Boise St go undefeated, a one loss big 12 or big ten, sec team would go instead. Also, dont forget Oregon.

No way, send a three loss team. That makes more sense than sending an undefeated team.
