I forgot my password for my computer so im trying to start in safe mode by going through F8. But when I choose Safe Mode it just keeps going back to the screen that gives the options of Safe mode, safe mode netwoking..etc..why is it i cant get it into safe mode?

The password is designed to secure your system from an intruder, and an owner that forgot the password is in the same position with an intruder.You will not pass through security by booting in safe mode.If you don't have a lost password prevention disc then you have to reinstall windows.

You need to clear your CMOS if it is a bios code and that will remove the password protection.
If you don't know how to do it with motherboard jumper settings, then remove the battery for a couple minutes.
1) unplug the power cord off the power supply
2) remove the left case side (looking from front)
3) move the jumper for a few seconds or remove the motherboard battery for three minutes.
4) replace everything.
5) enter the BIOS and set your system clock.
Done
Also, there are programs on the internet that will allow you to find your passwords.

Try really hard to remember it, if you absolutely cannot but you need the files and programs on your computer you can take it to a specialist who has a program that they can run without needing your password and they can get you your password as long as you can prove it is indeed your computer. You can find these password recovery services on google, but it might be safest to check your local directory services. I believe it costs anywhere from $25 to $150.

when you get to the window that says safe mode /network etc scroll to safe mode and hit the enter key. when it boots to safe mode find your way to users, click on add remove users, sign in as the administrator go to your account and remove the pass word..
