OSU has a legitimate shot of making the National Title game if they win out. They play nobody this year....Akron, Youngstown State, Kent State. No disrespect to those programs but does OSU really deserve a shot? I'm an Illinois alum and would like for them to have a shot once in a while but they wont anytime soon, not with this system. Unfortunately SEC teams have to beat up on each other all year long and wont make it in because they have a couple losses. Let a 19th ranked Auburn play them with a tournament system and they will get EMBARRASSED....AGAIN just like last year, when they had their 7 future draft picks.

Oh yeah, and Einstein, the point was that the big ten is very weak and games against MI state and Penn State and MI doesnt solidify an argument for them to be in the NC game.

Let me clarify, for those who dont understand. In a power conference like the SEC where all the teams kick the snot out of each other, a team that has a few losses has no shot of making the NC game. Is it fair that OSU plays cream puffs IN and OUT of their weak conference and still gets to get in the NC game. 1 word......PLAYOFF

The BCS is a joke. For accurate Ratings I use the BGS Power Ratings, found right here on Yahoo!

The BCS must go. This year more than any other year proves it. Six teams received votes for the #1 ranking this week. It's the middle of October, the schedule is more than half way over and we can't even determine the top 10, much less top 2 teams. Get rid of the 12th game that was just added. Take the champions of the 6 major conferences, add 2 wild cards, and have an 8 team playoff. Also, have the computers set up so they put more emphasis on strength of schedule. This would create better non-conference games during the regular season.

If you win out, you have a chance to play! We all know it is a down year in the Big 10. But the Big 10 is usually respectable give them a little credit. Ohio State deserves a little credit for being a consistent team, they have a overall record of 790-301 and a 65-14 record in the Tressel era.

Again beat to death on the cupcakes that teams schedule:

LSU plays Tulane, Middle Tenn State, Louisana tech and Ole' Miss
Oklahoma plays Baylor, Tulsa, North Texas and Utah State

Auburn give me a break...

The Buckeyes had eight players drafted to lead the Big Ten, which was second in the country with 32 total picks.

OK well all know that the BCS is a joke. Look big schools like Ohio State, LSU,Michigan, and any SCC school like to play no name schools when they don't have to play in their conference they look to teams that they can run up the score. And schools like USC,The Irish play teams that they could lose. They play each other each year and both schools bring it all. Now games like this should be worth more points in the BCS. The other thing they could do is just take the top 4 teams and let them do a playoff.

Wow, what drugs is Steve on? About the lamest defense of the BCS I've seen.

The system's a joke and it's been a joke since it was invented by Roy Kramer, which is screwing the very conference he was the commissioner of (SEC). It's time to bury it and get a true playoff system in place.

nope it is not just you. I also think the BCS is a complete joke. D-I FBS should have playoffs just like the other 3 divisions in the NCAA do. That way we know who the real winner of D-I FBS football. Only problem is that they would have to rename the division I-A and rename D-1 FCS back to I-AA again. I do not like the name change at all. They are way to long.

It's just you.

OSU plays nobody, you say? Look at their next five games.

Illinois? Well, maybe they shouldn't have choked against Iowa last weekend. And if you say OSU plays "nobody" I guess that means Illinois is a nobody since they play OSU in a couple of weeks.

Yes any system that denies the chance to over half of its teams to win the national title is a joke.

ohio state rules...yes their schedule is weak..but they keep winning year after year..arent to many teams that can say that..and a lot of teams start off with cupcakes..just like in basketball...the bcs does suck tho..other college schools at other levels of play have play offs and they work great..no popularity votes involved..and yes..college basketball final 64 has some work to be done on it..why do all the smaller schools play the bigger schools in the first round...
