~If you send you people somewhere to take up residence beyond your borders and displace or subjugate those who are already there or if you are one of the ones who moves to such land, it is colonialism. If you were living their when the outsiders came in and displaced you, took your property or killed you it is imperialism. If you are expanding your own borders for survival and growth, it is colonialism. If someone moves into a place that you wanted to go before you could get there, it is imperialism. If the US Bureau of Indian Affairs pursues a campaign of genocide against the natives, it is colonialism and Manifest Destiny. If the Germans reclaim lands along the Rhine, in Czechoslovakia or in Poland, it is Imperialism. If the UK takes over parts of India, Burma, China or Indonesia, it is colonialism (or, when convenient, imperialism). If Japan tries to move into the self-same region, it is imperialism.

colonialism is when you send forces to occupy another country and govern it by your own people and rule it like if it is your own land without giving the people of that land a chance to rule them selves and then you exploit all their fortune for the benefit of your country and if the people objected you do atrocities to stop them from asking for any rights like UK in India before 1947 . while imperialism and only inspired by the word means total control by a major power on a smaller nation without physical power on the ground .both systems are denounced .
capitalism has benefited from both systems throughout history where colonial powers brought cheaper stuff from colonies to be used by the wealthy people of the west for example . that filled their pockets with money and they paid bigger taxes to the government and guaranteed a lower unemployment rate ,
in Imperialism the domination of a major power means the economy of the smaller nation becomes under control and the companies of the major power dominate the market and again the pockets are stuffed and the cycle just goes on
i hope i did well on this.

colonialism is the practice by which a powerful country directly controls less powerful countries and its means of exploiting its natural resources and native populations whiles capitalism is a economic and political system in which property, business and industry are owned by private individuals and not by the state.

There is none.
Both have centrally controlled economies not capitalist one. They make their money by conquest and exploitation not investment.
