Lately my laptop has been acting strangely. When it goes into standby and I bring it back or sometimes randomly it will get a really choppy hard to explain picture and then turn black and wont come back. Or sometimes when I start it up it makes a BEEP and then my clock in the tray gets reset to 12:00 in 2002???

BRAND new $5,000 alienware area 51 m9750. So does this mean I need to have them fix it??

Must be really old?Seems like the CMOS battery is dying but Im not sure if it is accessible in a laptop.

Your CMOS battery might be bad, which would explain the date. Alternatively, your laptop battery might be bad. Or your power controller, memory, or video card.
If it keeps up, you should probably take it to a repair shop.

your CMOS battery is running out (button cell).
If you can access this from your laptop try to change this battery.

sounds like you computer is infected or somthin you should get a new one
