If you had the opportunity to be literally born again in THIS world after you died and the option to choose your own gender at birth

Would you rather

(a) Retain your current gender?
(b) Chose to be born as a member of the opposite gender group you currently belong to?

P.S.: Nothing serious, take no offense please, I'm just curious about the type of questions that people often find interesting or boring.

This is a VERY tough one; there's no clear winner. Back in 1967, my late parents already had a son and were expecting a daughter; I ended up a male rather than female, and the existing son had a busted-expectations reaction. Sorry, but I haven't been able to build a scenario of how the planned Alycia Dawn Schmerker (as I might have been named) would have fit into the family over the last four decades.

My answer, as default, would therefore be: (A) Retain current gender.

Hi Anna,

I am figuring that you mean we would retain memory of this life up to the point of choosing? Or would we continue to have this knowledge into the following life?

I would say that I believe the first to apply, except that from the place of "afterlife" we possess all of the knowledge of the universe: past, present, and future. Our life is set into motion from this point of view, but the manifestation into life brings limitations on conceptualization.

This is an unfolding of purpose that would be thoroughly spoiled if I knew the whole plot up front. Certainly it has been useful to this life that I am male. It would be interesting to be female, and it wouldn't make sense to change gender half way through the life.

Point is, I don't yet have the necessary information to decide my next life. There will likely be larger schemes where gender supersedes.

I really wouldnt care I would just like to have a chance to live again. Other than giving birth and experiencing sex the way I do as a woman I could pretty much do all the things I enjoy now in another life as male or female. Might sound weird but I have always wondered to know how it would feel to be a man.

I'd still choose to be a girl because giving birth to my children was amazing. But that's an "adult" answer. If I were still a LITTLE girl in my parents home, I'd say a boy because my mom always told everyone she never wanted a girl in a "joking" kind of way but I know it's how she really felt since she treated my 3 brothers much better than she treated me. But had I known then what I know now I would have known not to be so upset about it because this was how my life would end up. A happy mom.

Since you asked how I would like to live a whole LIFE, I would choose A and stay a woman.

However, I would definitely jump at the chance of spending a day or two as a man.

I'd have to see how living a life as a woman was first. In other words, live my life completely and if I accepted childbirth and all of that then I'd give it another try and if I didn't like my life as a woman I guess I'd try it as a man. But most likely I wouldn't choose to be born again.

Remain the same. I know no other, and would most likely find it difficult to fit into the psyche of the opposite sex. Although I might think about doing for a day or so.

I'd still choose to be a female. I love being a woman, we get to do stuff like wear makeup, have a lot of different options of clothes to wear. And most important we get to give birth to kids, which is such a beautiful thing. (I haven't had any yet though!!)

id like to be a guy
but only for a week or two
it would be fun to be a guy cause they get away with everything, they aren't judged 1/2 as much as women and not criticized as much
