I think Jessica is way too overdone and trendy. My middle name is Jade, so I can't say anything against that though. I love the name Jade. Uhmmm... Maybe Jessica can stay despite of it's popularity. You could call her Jessa to add some originality, or even call her JJ for a family nickname. I think Jessa would be a very cute alternative. If you can't get it changed to Jessa Jade then Jessa is a shorted form of Jessica. Plus, she might be one of three Jessica's in her class at school, but chances are she'd be the only Jessa.

By the way I totally LOVE your other kid's names! They are so original, and I know they'll thank you for that in the long run.

I hope I helped. Good luck.

I think you 2 like to play games, and your kids will be the losers when they get to school if they have names which they cannot easily learn to spell, or which cause ANY confusion for the teachers.
Jessica Jade sounds great, and you could use any number of "cute" nicknames: Jess, Jes, Jessi, Jessy, Jesse, JJ, J-Jade (pronounced Juh-Jade). That would sort of fit with Kyane's name.
Unless you have misspelled somewhere, I would think that Kyane would be pronounced Ki Ann (like cayenne pepper) instead of Ky arn. Where did the "r" sound come from? But.........
If you wanted to stick with something that fitted with the others, what criteria do you have? I am saying that I do not see how the other 2 "fit". What are their middle names?
I'm not trying to be smart aleck; I just think that you have an interesting question, but one which I am not sure how to answer.

I don't think the first and 2nd name nor your other children's names should make any difference. No one has ever called me by my middle name and most legal documents ask for the middle initial so pick one, both or not.

I think many couples have disagreements as to names for their children. If you want to make at least one concession then let your partner pick Jessica and you pick a middle name of your choice. Also these days if you are so set on calling your kids by their nicknames then you should have just put that name on the birth certificate to start because what's the point of a proper name if they are never going to be called that?

I do think there's something to be said about tradition. Why don't you pick a middle name from a family member and keep past family names around.

Both names are ok on their own but i dont think in a combo they go because of the 2 J's

If your partner is still keen on Jessica then maybe think of another middle name or maybe have to middles names such as:
Jessica Louise Jade (i really like the sound of this)

it breaks down the JJ

If you are keen to keep the Jade and only want 1 middle name then think of anohter fist name you both like

I hope i helped

I guess i have to admit i don't really enjoy the Jessica part either. though i don't think there is a huge clash with Kye and Xander. considering the originality of your other children's names and then also considering the originality of the other names which are still in the running for your choices, i'm not surprised you are already not enjoying Jessica.
the name thing is a joint decision, your partner is going to HAVE to budge if you can't live with the name. when my partner and i couldn't agree on our daughter's name (boys names were so much easier for some reason!), we agreed to both throw our our top pick so that it was fair.
good luck

I personally love the name Jessica, but i don't really care much for Jade, It brings to mind an image of an old lady who's gotten around in her day and has had over 3 nose jobs, I think a good name might be Jessica Morgan, at least I like it :) hope that helps

Jessica Jade wouldn't be my choice, but it has its charm. I prefer it to the other names you're considering.

I'm not sure what would fit with Kyane, but Alexander and Jessica, or Xander and Jess, sound very much like siblings to me.

It is not both of your children? Why are they refusing to budge? Do you like the name? If you do stick with it! It really does not matter if it fits with your other children's names ( love them by the way) and I really like Jessica Jade...although I do have to admit with a previous poster that it does kinda sound like a stripper name, but it all about what you think and not what everyone else thinks! Congrats on the new baby! :)

I really like the name Jessica, and Jade has grown on me over the years. I'm not crazy about them together, but it's not a BAD combination or anything.
And when I was a teen, Jessica was a way cool name.

I like Jessica but not Jade. Your choices are all horrible, though -- and I'm guessing you were responsible for the monstrosity Kyane as well. Leave the naming to your husband, because at least he's half-decent at it.
