There was an overgrown vacant lot behind our house and we used to call it The Wild Goose Chase! I think someone had dumped a lot of soil and gravel there cos there were hills and valleys and lots of cool places to play in. As far as I know somone bought it and built a small convenience store on it.
There was also a large park that we called The Gully. Mum didn't like us going down there because it was really dangerous, but we sneaked down there anyway, lol. There was a hundred-year-old hay barn down there and we played in there quite a lot. Some kids called the place The Hay Barn. The barn was literally falling down round our ears but that made it all the more fun. The was a filthy reservoir there too and we used to dare each other to wade in it *shudder*. It's now apparently called Donny Park and it's nowhere near as dangerous as it used to be. Some of the things we did as kids would make people's hair curl today, lol. Oh btw, I'm now 41 years old.

In our backyard. When we got a little older we were allowed to go to the park across the street! That was awesome! Then we moved and we had to play in our neighbors yards and the woods. Ha I miss those simpler times!

We played in the woods out behind our house. At my grandparents house we climbed the cedar trees and played in the barn swinging on ropes into a pile of hay.

On the hill across the street from my grandparent house. It was covered in fruit and walnut trees. We would build forts in the trees. And slide down in mini pools and cardboard boxes. Also have dirt claud wars. The hill now is covered in houses unfortunately.

i was a woods child.....rarely inside my entire childhood...i was either down in the dirt, up in my tree house, or making my rounds to all my friends houses through the entire neighborhood on my little bike....i would wait until i heard daddy's loud booming voice echoing for a mile, calling us to come home

at my home, outside in my backyard or frontyard or at a friend's house. I didn't really go to parks that much.
