Hey, I feel like this too! I spent a lot of money on an accelerated college course to find out that there is no more full time jobs in the field for that as they all go to part time casual to save money on benefits. I chose the wrong man and spent 12 years with him, then I chose the wrong boyfriend after and spent 4 years with him too! I seem to pick all the wrong things all the time. Plus I'm a nervous wreck which doesn't help me make any decent decisions anymore. I wish you all the best and just keep plugging away.

NO IT IS NOT JUST YOU.
I too have chronically bad luck, absurd and ironic bad luck that defies the laws of probability.
When I find a coin, or drop a coin, it lands tails side up around 75% of the time, for example. I have been noticing this for some time. Other areas of my life are not so measurable.
I see it in the decisions I make as well. I can feel it happening, but at the same time, I am paralyzed by the contradictions of the situation. I know I have a chance to make a decision, but it seems, inevitably to be the wrong decision, but I know this before hand. That doesn't matter, though, because no matter what choice I choose, it always seems to be wrong.
I know this doesn't help you, but then again, it kinda does. I understand what you are talking about, believe me. I am living it too. I have come to terms with the eternal Catch 22, and try to find humor in these situations. I have found that if you start to expect to get screwed over by life, you can actually anticipate your fate, even if by only a little bit.
Make no mistake, I am no pessimist, and neither should you be.

Some one said once that "good luck is opportunity meeting preparedness". Bad luck is probably the same think "challenge meeting unpreparedness"
When we have bad luck, it seem to always come in a streak of never ending events, sometimes even a vicious circle. That's the time when we must slow things down and stop reacting instantly, because when things happen too fast, we are not prepared. Slow things down it possible, examine all the options, and or dangers, prepare for the worse and then make your decision.
One thing I learned from James Allen's book, "The Secret of Success" is that bad luck and good luck are like night and day, one always follows another, you just have to wait it out.

Believe me, selling your soul to the devil would Not make anything better. Glad you were just using that as an example. We make our own luck. Try listening to your "inner voices" better. Call them your intuition, your angels or whatever. They take care of you. If it tells you something stupid though, ignore it. That "ain't" no Angel talkin ! Hey, "Good Luck" in the future !

The theory of probability says that your luck will turn around. Everyone goes through rough patches. I wouldn't sell your soul to the devil just yet.

It used to be like that for me (and maybe it still is) but look at your experiences from a different angle. It helped me think differently or process my experiences differently and I no longer think of anything that happens to me as a bad luck.

My experience is that when I have a loss or disappointment, if I feed into the negativity of it, that attracts more negative energy. When I'm able to change my thoughts and feelings to positive, things get better and stay better.
