Rally towels are good for player morale, they're good for the overall excitement of the game. A lot of teams in other cities hand them out to fans during playoff games, but never in Boston. Why not in Boston?
The biggest argument is that the towels will wind up on the field/court/ice...but they never have this problem with fans in other cities, do they?

Waving rally towels is just pretty tacky. Bostonians prefer to let those bumpkins from Cleveland make @$$ of themselves.

You know i heard this...Boston i am a big fan!!!! But since Boston is already huge, they don't need to hand out stuff. Its a promotion. Like the Atlanta Braves hands out towels & etc, because it gets people interested.
I wish Red Sox would hand out stuff!

I HATE when teams do that! I think the Celtics sometimes pass out some stuff, but not towels. I think it's so tacky. I guess I don't know the "reason" we don't hand out towels, but I'm damn sure glad!

probably because people in boston would get mad if the red sox lose. and hit each other with the towels.. (hmmm 7 to 3 as we speak)
since the football team already cheats who would care if they lost?
