How can you get started in something like drag racing or even something as small as go cart racing?

Without havingto spend thousands of dollars...

And like WHERE can you start out???

Google "go-cart race" and the name of your state.

My nephew races go-carts and there are a lot of girls racing. First, find out where they race go-carts, and visit the track every weekend. Get to know the families and see who might need a hand on their pit crew. Then you'll learn where they buy the cars. It helps to have a grownup who can fix cars and has time to work on it during the week. Unfortunately it does take a few thousand to maintain a fast, safe car. You can get sponsors to cover the cost.

From the connections you make at the go-cart track, you will be able to get sponsors and experience in grown up racing.
