He is gone this season, the leafs are done, game over for them.
I love LITY's answers. The Leafs should hire you LITY as GM :)
"ACC is only a short ambulance drive from the University Avenue hospitals..."

I don't see Ferguson lasting till Christmas and that goe's for Maurice too. I say till Christmas because Toronto is slow to make changes. It took 20+years to get rid of Ballard and he had to die.LOL. They also need to get rid of the Teacher's Pension because once again you have a bunch of fat cats makin' money and they don't care about the team on the ice.Maybe if the fan's stopped supporting the team as well you would see big change's. If the things that happened in Toronto happened in Ottawa , Ottawa would be gone the fans would not support them , just look at Ottawa's football team. OOOPS oh ya they don't have one. HUUUMMMM. P.S. I have and always will love the leafs but something big has to happen.

He'll last the year, the Leafs aren't in a position to look for and hire a GM at this point in time.
In fact, Maurice's sad history in Carolina combined with his sad history in Toronto will spell the end of his job as well.
Personally the guy that has to go is Richard Peddie. This is a guy who started out in food services and got the Raptor's top job because he had an 'in' with Bitove. His knowledge of hockey is limited. He needs to be replaced by a highly respected hockey man (Pat Quinn pick up the phone). That highly respected hockey man then has to hire a highly respected GM who in turn will hire Pat Burns as coach (the ACC is only a short ambulance drive from the University Avenue hospitals)

LOL - I've been wondering if he's going to last the month. Calling JF Jr the Matt Millen of hockey is an insult ot Matt Millen. And as for what LITY says, well right as usual. How a guy who ran a terrible hot dog stand became a big honcho with one of NHL hockey's heavy weight teams is beyond me. Shouldn't he be at MacDonald's or something?

I frakking hope so. By the way, his welcome ran out well before last season began. The guy can't seem to have a grasp of how to do a salary cap.
LOL LITY, that's so horrible! "...ACC is only a short ambulance drive from the University Avenue hospitals..."
Yeddie: Pat Burns has colon cancer, Pat Quinn has (or maybe had now) a heart problem, and they're both pretty big guys.

I think so. He's actually done a couple good things in the off season compared to last year. Although I'm still waiting for something, he has yet to deliver a move. I'd like to see shades of Cliff Fletcher when he got Gilmore.

No way profits are up, expectations are down, stands are full, prospects are empty. The only losers are the fans. The curse of the seven outhouses will remain.

Nope. I'm gonna get 288 to stand on one side of JFJ. I'm gonna stand on the other side and wave cigarettes back and forth, just out of 288's reach. Since I'm an 18" elf, 288's gonna beat JFJ's ability to pee standing up, clean off. He should leave on his own after that.

Honestly, I'll be surprised if he lasts the rest of October. He is the Matt Millen of hockey.

If the Leafs don't start producing soon, he'll be gone and so will Paul Maurice.
