Bush will let every american die to save his daddy's oil.
Bush is doing the same thing other politicians do, he's just really good at it...that is the fear card strategy. It helped him and others debrive the americans of civil rights, it helped him pass the patriot act, it helped him lead us to war. To answer the question, Bush dont care if we go to war or not, he'll be safe and he has proven he could care less about the American people who elected him. We are kind of stuck between a rock and a hard plate...if we dont do anything about Iran, they will create a bomb and use it against Israel, hence starting WWIII....however, if we attack Iran, Russia won't be to happy about it and it could institgate a World War as well. China doesn't want a world war i'm sure, but they will get involved if one takes place beyond they're control. So we are damned if we do and damned if we dont....sooner or later, even if it's not in our lifetimes, i think its going to happen though.

No, I don;t think retired General John Abizaid (the "Mad Arab") hates America. I do, however think that he has gone on the speaking tour circuit and at Stanford University he was simply preaching to the choir.
When in command, he is the same general that criticized Bush for not sending enough troops - and criticized him again for sending too few at a later date. He criticized the democratic plans for withdrawal and advocated more troops to train the Iraqi forces quicker.
Consider, if oil were the primary objective in the Middle East, we would have crushed the OPEC nations in '74 when their embargo crippled our economy or, better yet, we would have simply remained in control of Kuwait after we drove the Iraqis out.
I truly think that the latest slew of retired officers who now have all of the answers should have shared some of their brilliance when they were in charge - not after the fact.

Does he hate America?! He was a General in the American military you genius. What he probably hates is an idiot was elected twice to the White House and has made an enormous mess of things for a long time. And he being a military man had to take orders from an idiot who pretended to serve in the military and thinks he answers to nobody (including the American people. Greenspan says its about oil, non Americans all around the world know its about the oil, car and oil companies in America know its about oil. But the idiots who voted for Bush AGAIN think its about whatever Bush says its about. This week anyway. What a mess and we are going to have to clean it up after this screwed up administration leaves. Can't wait.

OK, SO WHAT WOULD BE YOUR DECISION?
Pull up stakes and let the terrorists take over Iraq, and the oil so you will be paying 20.00 bucks a gallon that is, if you can buy any
OR
Let our voluntary military hold the line for you and me to have this luxury of riding to work.??
During ww2 gas was rationed.. and if thats what you want .....
Right now the oil is going to the people of Iraq to help them get together a government ....
we have troops all over the world...taking care of "business".
God Bless Our Troops....

Wow! I dare anyone who's never put on a military uniform to call him unpatriotic.
You're absolutely right. The number of people speaking the truth is finally rising. These same people had been bullied into silence for a few years, but justice and truth eventually come out. Sooner or later.
It's interesting that the people who've actually fought and led and been there are the ones waking up and the 20% extreme rights are sitting in their SUV's happy that the senseless killings are going on there and not here. Way to support our troops!!!!
******
Edit:
Charlie,
It's amazing that you can ask such a clear question and you'll get people who read it wrong and respond to it as if you had said the opposite of what you said! I wonder how many of my thumbs downs are also from people who actually agree with us! lol.. ;o)
It's pretty hopeless isn't it? No wonder that dweeb was elected not once, but twice by people who at over 3:1 don't want him in office.

Quite the contrary!
If he would hate America he would kept quiet and silence. Now lets wait for defamation to start from the government through their controlled media.

All you're gonna get from this question are neocons calling him a traitor and terrorist. That is their only way of arguing and getting their point across.
Call anyone that disagrees with them unpatriotic.
