LMAO at that iggnant girl who said that Lupe of all ppl sound like a thug...That shows that these ppl are closed minded and are gonna just ear hustle off the media...LMAO at 99% ghetto music...Every rapper isnt from the "ghetto"...But rock came from the "ghetto" too...So why do you like it so much...Plus yall(white ppl) make these rappers rich...Hip hoppers arent gonna buy the fake ish...Like I said before most of the haters are white folk...Their reasoning for hating the music doesnt make sense...I like rock...Its made by my ppl...so tryna make it a "white genre" it not gonna work...Because yall stole that from "US"...Like some dude asked why are rapper biting Electronica artist...1st "biting" is hip hop slang...And electronica derives from Hip Hop music...These ppl are sooo lost...They hate the fact that the rappers be it that theyre wack or not...are making dollars and getting rich and are BLACK...when it wasnt making that much money like now...They werent saying much about...but why theyre hating now...Too Live Crew and Too Short lyrics were way more raunchier then what theyre playing now and all these rap haters wasnt saying much...These artist still sold without radio help.

I didn't check the links, but I don't need to, I've seen plenty of it on the rock side. If it's any consolation I like both hip hop and rock and I try to stand up for hip-hop when I see it here. I try to point out groups like the Roots, Mos Def, Jurassic 5, and I still say that the Dr. Octagon record is one of the best records I've ever heard. I try to point out that rap music is hard to make, "why do you think most people sound like such fools when they try to mimic it?" The music side is very underrated too. All music takes real vision and talent to make appealing. Sure anyone can make a riff on a keyboard, but making something truly good, something people want to spend their time listening to is never easy. That goes for hip hop, rock, jazz, classical, R&B, etc. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it takes no talent to make it. Too many people confuse those criticisms.
For the record though, Dani is right and there are plenty of people who do the converse. The internet is a great place to throw out miopic, uneducated opinions and tout them as fact with no sense of accountability. I'd just ignore it, block them, not waste the time worrying about it. It's just the way of the internet and message boards.

Rap sucks. Rock sucks. Pop sucks. R&B sucks. Whatever other mainstream genre sucks.
What most people are thinking of is the rap today. And it certainly contains most elements that the people are talking about. But they're too ignorant to delve in and actually look at older rappers/rap groups. Now I certainly don't like rap, but people should at least respect rap because it was an important genre in music. People have different tastes. How many of those rock fans like classical music? Probably none, yet it is very important to music.

The actions of a few immature individuals should not be reflected as the consesus of all R&P. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.....but it is not completely a one way thing. Rap people come here and do the same thing. This is a forum where opinions are expressed.....there are bound to be clashes.

3. I don't know if "this section" is affected by a reputation.
