Hi I'm wanting to create a website where everyday people, like you and me, can send in articles and short stories that will be published on the website.
So if anyone is interested please send me your writing. You can write about anything at all. Full credit to the author will be given for every piece of writing published on the website.

Please send your writing to astral.magic@yahoo.com

Thank you.

I suggest you go looking for the opening chapters of published books. Most publishers will let authors release the first chapters of their books for publicity. The entire first chapter with book cover, publisher info, and links would have to be included.

I am sure you have the best intentions, but, as others have indicated, you're not going to get really good writers to respond.
Have you heard what publishing houses go through---sorting and rejecting thousands of manuscripts each year?
If you try online publishing, YOUR slush pile will be millions of crappy manuscripts.
Do you really think you will have the time to go through, and judge them, every day?
In the end, you will simply hate writers, and think they're all idiots.

There was actually a website like the one you are suggesting. The last time I checked, the owner was closing down because it turned into something he didn't want. He stuck to it for several years, though.

loryntoo had a pretty good idea, though. You might give it some thought. I gave her a thumbs-up.

People today seem to think computers and the internet are the answer to everything, but I still like to get a paperback that fits in my back pocket.

Thank you for the offer but I would prefer not to. I leave my writing as such in hope of getting it published somewhere. Maybe your website is credible but I will like to turn my writing into a book rather than making it on-screen characters. That isnt exciting.

You want me to send my writing to a complete stanger on the internet and one day you may create a website and show it there? Or you may not, right? Why would anyone go there (if it actually happens) to read unpublished, and therefore mostly second rate writing? I would publish my work on my website, not yours or anyone elses. Are you dreaming?

No thanks. Posting writing on the internet is professional suicide. It is an open invitation to be plagiarized and no publisher will ever touch you because they don't want the bother or expense of getting their legal staff to sort out original ownership. It's kind of like cutting off your right hand. Thanks anyway.
