How old are you? Is perimenopause a possibility? What kind of contraception are you using? Some kinds affect the hormone levels in your system, and can cause general craziness. Are you trying to lose weight? Have you stressed your body exercising? Are you under general stress from work, home, etc.?
If you're worried, call your gyn, and go in to see her if she feels it's merited.
Take care.

I am 39 years old, got my 1st period at 9 and around 16 they started to play tricks on me (like you). I started to feel hot/sweaty all the time and my periods were crazy - twice a month or skip 2-3 months. When I got married at 21, we waited a year before we tried to conceive. With no luck, my OB/GYN started Clomid (medication to increase eggs released) and nothing happened. Then, he referred me to a Fertility Specialist and I went through a series of blood tests. When the results came back I was SHOCKED! I was diagnosed with POF - Premature Ovarian Failure. I ran out of eggs and had no chance of getting pregnant on my own. The only option available to me was using donor eggs with IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization). My sister (best friend now) donated her eggs. The 1st try of IVF resulted in Zero pregnancies. The 2nd resulted in 1 healthy baby girl and 3rd try 1 healthy baby boy. I wouldn't mess around writing on this site, the best way to find out what's going on with your body is to see a OB/GYN and have them test your FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) and LH (Luteinizing Hormone) levels.

Stress, menopause (can happen as early as late 20's), poly cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), being severely underweight, and other hormonal problems (ie, hypothyroid) can all severely alter a woman's cycle to the point of it stopping or nearly stopping.

It could be stress related, or if you've gained/lost a lot of weight, that could throw your cycle/hormones out of wack. If it happens again, I would suggest talking to your doc and getting on the pill to help sort stuff out. Best of luck.

Stress and change in eating habits. I usually get mine every 4Th sat. but my past few have been crazy, like today I got mine, but no cramps to warn me which is also unusual. I definitely know it it a combo of stress and not eating right/changing my eating habits.

there are so many different reasons for missed periods....stress, diet, life style, then there are plenty of medical reasons such as Endometriosis, clamidia you need to really be talking to your GP sometimes our body just needs a rest too
