Not in Manila per se, but in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

I agree with Rodelette on this, the Rizal Monument.

Would the Department of Tourism agree on setting up a web cam to be set up unobtrusively, and with aesthetic sense, on an eye level with Rizal on this monument, so that everyone can see Manila from his viewpoint, the webcam to go around 360 degrees and every minute project a picture to the whole world, do you think? I for one would really love it. So, I can access by Net how is my beloved city at any time of day.

i agree with rodelette. jose rozal's monument is one of our historical landmarks...

for my answer to be parallel to your question though, i am thinking that if florence has its david, we have oble or the oblation, that nearly stark naked sculpture that is the university of the philippines' iconic symbol. it means complete surrendering of isko and iskas (scholars) to their country and to humanity.

There's also David but it is different from yours. Humans have different identities even we have the same name.
