Hey All...
I'm just windering what was your favorite baby shower gift besides diapers? Mine was somthing my best-friend got me. She filled a diaper bag ( the diaper bag is so cute it has butterflys & flowers on it) with little things like baby pain reliver, gas drops, the snot sucker thing ( i don't rember the offical name of it), bottles ( i bottle feed) a couple things of formula, a picture album, 2 disposable camreas, bibs, 2 onsies, & then she got me a robe,a pair of slippers, & a big thing of my favorite kind of lotion. I LOVE that gift. It showed that she really cared & she put a lot of effort in it :). So what was your favorite gift besides diapers?

i had 2 favorite things from my baby showers gifts. the first one is the 3 tier Diaper cake my sis made it was the cake part was all diapers and around the cake were things like bottles little teething toys, undershirts, socks etc. On top of the diaper cake was a stuffed bear. i thought it was so cool and she made it herself.
the second one is a which will last a long time which is the fischer price newborn to toddler rocker it has a vibration on it to mimic a car ride etc. then when he gets bigger he can use it as a rocking chair.

Definitely the Ergo carrier with the infant insert was hands down the most useful item we received. My daughter is 2 1/2 and we still use it. If you're looking for a lower-priced item, I really, really love the Tyke Light we received (I think it cost all of $15 from Target.) At first I didn't realize just how useful it would be. Still using it to check on her in the night, bring it along on every vacation, it was so useful when we co-slept and she was still night feeding. A few other things I found very useful: Bumbo, rainforest jumperoo and target gift cards.

I used a gift certificate to buy this, it is called a Podee bottle, they sell them at BRUS and TRU. It looks like a pacifier that has a hose going down into the bottle. It was a lifesaver on more than one occasion. It made car rides easy, I didn't have to carry the baby if we were out, and as he got older it was great for a ride in the stroller. I HIGHLY recommend this as a gift in the future for people and always buy it for someone having/had a baby.

well this was my 4th child but first girl and to tell the truth I am a very big bargain shopper and everyone that knows me knows this so I truly was very happy to get gift cards cause I did not have to use them right away and I was able to buy exactly what size color style or any thing else i preferred. So far I have gotten bedding for her crib was 75$ I paid 39$ and a swing and a lot of batteries for her swing and playpen it vibrates the best invention in a while.

For me I can't narrow it down to just one item...I had a few.

1. Gift certificate for me to use at a spa on any treatment within the $100 limit
2. Items for when my little one got older such things as sippy cups, safety locks, bowls, step stool to reach the sink, first toothbrush and toothpaste. I can't tell you what a blessing it was to have these items on hand, instead of having to go buy them.
3. Bumbo chair - it went everywhere with us
4. Travel swing - again it went everywhere with us
5. Photography gift certificate for a package that had my little one photographed (in my home) at birth, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. A year in photographs!

Now when giving gifts I try to purchase and pass on some of the items I appreciated the most.

I got a Fisher Price "Flutterby Dreams" mobile that I don't know I if I could live without! It requires batteries and "sings" lullabys while lighting up and projecting a moving image on the ceiling. It goes right in my daughter's crib and runs for 10 minutes. She can turn it back on herself with a simple touch, if it runs out before she falls asleep. It has been a lifesaver!! My daughter LOVES it. She has ever since she's been born, and learned to turn it on at a very young age. I don't know what I'd have done without it!!

That's great!! I make 'Diaper Cakes' that people buy from me and give for gifts to showers. I still say my favorite 'gift' was a set of my favorite soap and lotion, for showers at the hospital, a special 'labor jammie', and a handmade scarf for me and matching blanket for baby.(Wisconsin Winter Baby!)

Congrats on the baby!!

I never had a baby shower.
But I'll remember all the stuff you really liked and give that gift to someone sometime.
My daughter just got married last year so who knows when I might just get to do that.

One of my favorite baby items was the bassinet. I could keep it in the living room & it was up high so I didn't have to bend way over. A bouncer & swing is great too.
