Why is he named after the desert in Suadi Arabi, Rub-al-Khali? Besides, Arabians worship Islam, whereas Khali's home country, India, is primarilly Hindu.

Crude, Khali is Hindu, that is far different than the religion found in Arabia, Islam. In fact, Islam is closer to Christianity than it is to Hinduism, that is why I am so confused.

His name is Dalip Singh Rana. But the ring name that he has is name after hindu godess "KALI" 2 whom Khali is very much devotee. U must have seen the picture of that godess in Khali`s entrance video.

It may be just coincidence that Rub-al-khali n Khali seems alike or if it`s not the coincident then it must have down knowingly as Khali debuted with Divari whose gimmick was like of Arabic`s.

He's from India & his real name is Dalip Singh. For his in-ring persona Khali, he's playing an Arab character.Which is supported by the fact that his first manager or valet was Daivari. An Arabesque character type himself.
