Turkey is ready to invade northern Iraq and fight. Do you think it will help us or set us back?

No they won't invade but will continue to bomb and airstrike from their side, they may even close their border to Iraq.

Yes it would damage Turkey's relationship with the U.S. it they cross Iraq's northern border in pursuit of Kurdish rebels. The U.S. is already preoccupied with efforts to stabilize areas of Iraq outside the predominantly Kurdish northern region and don't need the added pressure with Turkey invading the north, the U.S. opposes the move.

If it seems Iraq's government is going to fail, Turkey will drive in and make a large land grab. They will do it, and claim they are protecting a major ethnic group, also common in their country. ( Sorry I do not remember the groups name) It will hurt us becaues it will end up dividing Iraq up.
