Aggressive? I guess so, but I always thought of it in a positive light.

People will speak to you, ask you how you are, ask your opinion of the color of scarf they're trying on in a store, make fun of you in a lighthearted way. To me, it's just 'reaching out' to touch base with another human being. I always think of Philadelphians fondly as friendly people. Pittsburghers are even better, as they are kinder in a more country sort of way.

I live in California now, and everyone is a little bit self-centered and distant, except the panhandlers.

Yes I do, but I think all people who are born and raised in the city are aggressive...I don't think its just people in philly but all major cities...the city is a fast paced hustle and bustle type of environment

People are agreesive in any city really. It depends on how they were raised and by whom. Also by their surroundings. If they are around aggressive people, they themselves may be aggressive in the older years of life.

Yes. Philly is exceptionally more dangerous than most cities. People are more polite in NYC. This is a fact.
