Nothing can ever take the place of the Cardinals-Cubs!

Dodgers-Giants have been a heated rivalry, as well as Yankees-RedSox, but neither hold a candle to the real thing because they've been fueled by the media more than anything.

50 years ago when both the Giants and Dodgers played in NYC the rivalry was huge, unfortunately since leaving NYC, the rivalry is just a memory.

And to pricehillsaint, if you think the Cardinals/Cubs rivalry is anything near the Yankees/Red Sox Rivalry you know nothing about baseball, the Yankees/Red Sox have the longest most intense rivalry in sports history.

i'm a dodgers fan...right now...i think it's overrated...but it might heat back up in a few years because the giants have some good young arms and with barry gone, are trying to rebuild and the dodgers have their core of young players (Billingsley, Loney, Kemp, Martin, Broxton, Ethier, etc.) who gotten more experience this year
