It does exist in America. However, if you travel to almost any where else in the world, you'll see that other countries are much more racist than the U.S. In most countries there are only one kind of people. For example, in Ukraine, there are only Ukrainians. Therefore you would not see racism there because there is only one kind of people. Due to our very diverse society you will see racism and, at the same time you will see more tolerance than most other countries. If you take a black person that has experienced racism here in the U.S., you might hear them say, they didn't get a job because they were black or they didn't get equal treatment as did a white person. If you were to have that same black person live in Ukraine for one year, I think their perspective would greatly change about racism in the U.S. The U.S. can and should continue to improve on the issues of racism. I believe we do a pretty good job as a whole of addressing racism as apposed to other countries in the world. The reason for this is because we have had great civil rights leaders such as Martin Luther King.

YES! I am sad to say that it does still exist here in America and it is still active due to a large part of people like "ILconservative" who continue to blame the ones that are trying to make it known to the public instead of letting it go under wraps....and allowing naiveness to continue!

as long as humanity exists... racism will exist.

yes, even in America where the founding fathers perpetuated the decimation of the native inhabitants to this continent and the stealing and terrorism against African slaves for over 200 years for capitalistic gains!!!!!!

of course it does and always will, there is always going to be someone somewhere that doesn't like the other guy on racial grounds.
One of the truly great things about this country is that we as a nation realize that this is wrong and will not condone it.
It wasn't always this way but we still have the best deal on planet earth.

Unfortunately, yes. There are plenty of people stoking the fire (both white and black). Without these so-called leaders, I really believe there would be more harmony and understanding.
