I mean in music styles OTHER THAN hip-hop, rap, techno/dance kind of stuff where it's all about the super-loud bass.

I play bass. I listen. If you don't play, you usually don't listen. It is sad.

I have a brother that plays the bass so I always listen to the bass line in any song I hear.

I do. But then again, I'm a bass player. Just remember, without the bass guitar there's no foundation...no depth.

I usually just listen to the words after I've listened to the song a million times.
But the first time I hear it? It's usually drums and guitar
