i cant believe they gave you a bill when you refused treatment.. we do not do that here.... personally i would not pay it... medical bills on your credit score only stay five years and then they are gone away.. i would talk to the ambulance company or send the bill to the hotel... but if they did not transport, there is no reason for you to pay!!!!

Wow, talk about a weird story! It sounds like you need to be polite but firm with the hotel management. No one deserves to be disturbed in their sleep and billed for the pleasure! I do imagine that the hotel has a policy stating that their housekeeping staff should not enter an occupied room. Even though the housekeeping staff did their best to try to help, the hotel should accept the responsibility for it's own error. If some polite negotiation doesn't work I would definitely consider contacting the local network news consumer complaint department. This is the type of situation that could make a great story, and no doubt the hotel does not want the bad press and will cough up the dough at that point. Good luck!

Uh no.
The hotel should most definitely pay the bill. Go there. Talk to them in person. Tell them that you did not call the ambulance, and told them that you were okay [albeit a heavy sleeper!], and they still allowed the ambulance crew into the room. It is on them.
No way should you pay.

Your insurance comapny should pay. I am aware that you said, your company was in process of changing the company. BUT, usually one policy ends and another one picks right up at the same time. Therefore, one policy was in force at all time. There shouldn't be a period you are not covered at all. You might want to check into it.
You should really call the emergency services' non-emergency number and explain. What happened is called a mistake and an abundance of caution. There was never an emergency. In many cases, they'll forgive you for the charges all together.

The hotel should have to pay. The maids should have made a more concerted effort to awaken you before an extreme measure like calling an ambulance was done.

Send the bill certified mail to the hotel with a letter telling them to pay it. If they give you a hard time, contact your local Better Business Bureau, and/or a lawyer.
