Do you mean getting the church to annul your previous marriage so that you can re-marry in the Catholic church? If the first marriage wasn't performed by a priest in a church....the marriage never happened. You would still need to go to classes prior to being married

Unless you are talking about a catholic church, there are many churches that will marry a divorce person. I know some Baptist churches will because my cousin married there. Don't try the church of christ because they don't believe in divorce.

If it is a Catholic church then you have to have the marriage annuled in the eyes of the church and it is a difficult process.

Good luck

Talk to your priest about an annulment. If you weren't married in the church the first time and you didn't get permission to marry outside the church, it will be consider a marriage of improper form and it will be easy to have annuled. If you did get married in the church, you are going to have to show cause, which is more difficult. Only way to know for sure is speak to your parish priest.

It's called an annulment. It means, that in the eyes of the church, the marriage never happened.

Many churches will marry people who have been divorced. If yours won't, try another?

in the catholic church. probably not. It is called an annulment and if you were with your first wife for any appreciable period....definately not. You can find a church with less strict rules.

if you are divorced, then the marriage is canceled. if you want to get married in the church, do it. if some church is stopping you, go to another.

THAT IS SOOOOOOO RIDICULOUS. How are you going to cancel something you've done? Actually, you've already cancelled it--you got a divorce. Go get remarried and be happy.
