When I was little, and I mean REALLY little, I called an insurance place and said "Can I have some pizza?"

Of course, I didnt get caught. Real pranksters NEVER get caught. :D

My friend Ali and I were terrible when we were young. We usually sang silly songs really loudly and off-tune. I'm embarrassed to say we probably also pissed some people off - storeowners, especially. One threatened to call the police and though it didn't bother us at the time I realized pretty quickly that it really caused a lot of people stress and kind of ruined their day. We were usually sweet and silly but we rarely pranked the same person. I felt way too guilty doing that. It really is harassment, having to answer the phone over & over when you're just trying to live your life. I recognized how much it would bother me and upset me if it was happening in my home. I was pranked for awhile once and each time that phone rang my heart would leap out of my throat. It's a very panicky feeling, having that phone ring and not knowing if it's an important call or someone just having fun at your expense. That's what hurts so much, being unable to just live because someone wasn't allowing you to. I wish I had never done it myself.

There's a chance your cousin-in-law didn't recognize your brother's voice - it's hard to do but if she called the police often it's possible they traced the call. They don't just do that easily though, so the likelihood is something about the calls raised a flag. I'm just glad you're OK. Are you okay, sweetie? Just let this blow over and then, if you wish, write your cousin-in-law a letter of apology and tell her you realize now how much those prank calls could unnerve her and ruin her day. Apologize, but do it sincerely - and only if you feel inside that you should. Never do it if you don't mean it - that will across very obviously.

I think it's brave as all heck for you to admit what happened here. I hope you're alright and I'm thinking of you. Tough break! (((Love Yahoo)))

Okay, when I was a kid, it was before video games and the internet, and we had rotary dial phones. Yes, this is true. I am not making it up. So, a main form of entertainment was prank calls. My favourites were calling up someone and asking for Mr. Apple. When they said there was no Mr. Apple there, I would say " well, what kind of fruit are you?". Another of my favourites was calling the grocery stores and asking if they had pickled pigs feet. If they said yes, I would say " how do you find shoes that fit?" However, one time when I was about eight, I called some lady and told here I was lost and I acted helpless. She was very concerned, and I was on the phone with her for a long time, and the police came to my door. My dad kicked me halfway to the moon that night.

I found out that the police doesn't handle that issue, they turn it over to the FBI, and I also found out that it holds 10-15 years of federal prison time.

I was 22 at the time, and I didn't know that my room mates cousin was calling from my bed room phone... Yep... I almost went down for something that I didn't do... and I would have been majorly upset if I had, because heck, I didn't get to be in on the fun!! lol

The last time I did this, I was about 16 or so. Me and 2 friends were having a sleep over and decided to make some calls. I called a boy that I had gone to grade school with - intending to say something assinine... but when I convinced him it was me, we ended up talking for like an hour.

No cops were called :)

No need to be sad about it, it happens to all of the best people in the world.

one of my siblings called the cops, and hung up on dispatch. They imediatly sent out a patrol car. We where advised not to ever do that again.

Goddess Bless.
Blessed Be.

I did when I was like 12. They told us to stop doing it.

We were just prank calling one of my friends' parents and I don't think they realized it was us. It was kind of scary, actually.
