there is this girl in my grade (10) and she acts different when i'm there and her friends are than when it's just me and my friends. when she wasn't with her friends she was so sweet to me and my friends. but i'm invisible when she's with her friends. she also told some confidential secrets to people and lied to one of my best friends. all she knows about me is who i wanna kiss, how far i've gone and that i have my period. can she use these against me? why is she like this?

This girl is like this because she is insecure and needs to talk about other people behind their back to feel important. I would not tell this girl anything confidential that you don't want shared. Just be nice to her but keep it at that. Two faced people won't make it very far in high school. If she goes around backstabbing everyone she will find herself alone. Ignore her and do not allow her to make you feel bad when she ignores you.

This girl is not your friend. She isn't even a friend to herself because she is forever busy putting on airs and molding herself to fit whoever she hangs with. She has no integrity whatsoever. Your friends do not spill confidential tidbits about you to make themselves look superior. Next time she pulls any of this junk, call her out on it.

Listen... you need to get a little something down. There are FRIENDS and there are ACQUAINTANCES... even within family groups.
Acquaintances only call you when they want something... bring a present to a birthday party, or come when they call. These people are "users" at best. They typically don't care about you or anything going on in your life. You always wonder where you stand with these people until you put 2 + 2 together.
Friends are different. They are there for you, usually share common interests, offer a shoulder to cry on, cheer you on, and want the best for you.
At some point, you need to evaluate each relationship and ask, "What does this person bring to the table?" Is this person a mooch? A user? A manipulator? A drama-queen? A time-waster? Or is this person your cheering section? Provide insight? Make you laugh?
As you go down the list of traits and how each thing makes you feel, you will know who you should be spending more time with. That alone will make your life better.
