He flies arouund in a private jet, lives like a king, and uses more energy in a year than 350 american families. Why can't all of you enviromentalists see him for what he really is. Pick a person like Ed begley Jr., he live's a life that Al Gore Preaches. And then they give him a nobel prize for it. I wonder if when the earth starts cooling in 10 years if they will want there prize back. I doubt it, they did not ask for Jimmy Carters back, for that great job that he did keeping North Korea nuclear free.

His company is the one that sells the carbon credits. Why are you all so blind. I am a liberal, have been for 8 years, and I can see why some of the cons think that we are all crazy. Having this giy as the poster boy for the enviromental movement, is like having Paris as the president of mothers against drunk driving, with Mel Gibson as the treasurer. That is why we will lose the election in 08. wake up liberals or be ready for a rudy administration..

Are you having a bad day? Awww...
Neocons are just livid about Al Gore winning a Nobel Peace Prize, while George W. Bush wins the 'Booby Prize'.
Have a nice day.

The biggest, no. There are many examples. But Gore's whole man-made global warming bit annoys the hell outta me. For God's sake, it's a natural occurrence. But the sheeple will continue to buy into it, feeling they need to CO2 balance their ways of life to make our planet livable. What a crock I say. A richer CO2 O2 environment will provide more for plant life which in turn will generate more animal life and make everyone happy in the end. Yes, humans pollute, but if you want CO2 numbers then maybe some should realize that some volcanoes produce more CO2 in a single eruption than all of mankind does in year. Maybe we should cap off volcanoes then, huh? Or the fact that global warming is caused by the huge solar flares from our sun which has heated up the entire solar system, not just us. This is research from NASA. But apparently, Al Gore seems to be the God of science to some. Not me, never will he.

Well, well, what a bunch of wise ones we have here! Why don't some of you bother to look him up on Wikipedia & just see how much of what you say is off base! Both he & his wife drive fuel effecient cars, they have solar heating on that big house, he cannot take public transportation because he has an entourage & is too well known & probably would be killed! He is not quite the hyprocrite you make him out to be, look it up! Oh, when he flies he uses his carbon credits, that means he will have to use less of something else, that none of you probably give up! Do you even know about carbon credits?

Have you seen the tale of two houses...very interesting aspect of Mr Gore's environmentalism
http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_tale_two_houses.htm
He's just looking for headlines to keep in the public eye...global warming is a natural cycle of the earth and we are going through a period as it was several hundred years ago.

I'm curious. What happened to the revenues generated by the rock concerts???
How much revenue came in?
How much revenue actually went to research on global warming, and how much went to " everything else to make it come out even?"

No but I think those who know that Gore lives what he preaches by using different methods to reduce his carbon footprint, yet try to decieve people by presenting otherwise obviously are very scared of him.
He is not even running for president yet you are all doing your best to smear him with all sorts of lies just in case.
He must be one hell of a candidate to attract all this.

If you mean like the physically largest yes.
If you mean as in the kind of person that says one thing and does the exact opposite Hell yes.
That lard butt has one hell of a attitude telling everyone else what to do while flying all over the world in private jets.
I am supposed to ride a bicycle to work while this elitist snob is to good to fly on commercial airlines.

Dude, I don't support him. And I'm a huge Environmentalist. You're right that he's a hypocrite. I walk everywhere within three miles of home, Have a star-approved house, am Vegetarian, and Recycle cans, newspapers, boxes and plastic. I wish Mr. Gore could the same.

If you don't think that we are contributing to global warming, then I am not really interested in what you think about hypocrites or anything else. Get your head out of the sand. Even Bush has finally decided that something needs to be done about global warming. I thought he was the last American to have finally realized that, but apparently I was wrong.

I don't know enough about his personal life to judge him on how much of a hypocrite he may be. But we're all hypocrites, in one way or another.
What I think of as a good example of a hypocrite though, is a President who can send thousands of troops into battle and then go off on countless vacations.
Another good example of a hypocrite is a governor who leaves his state for 2/3 of his last year in power, in order to run for President.
I can name both of those people... can you?

Absolutely, and the Nobel committee is entirely political. It is funny how they gave him the prize based on their predictions that global warming may deplete natural resources over time, which may cause wars as people fight for the remaining resources, however these carbon offset companies plant trees in impoverished areas where people have to grow their own food to survive. Perhaps his carbon offset companies will be the ones that cause wars, as these people starve to death as Al Gore's guilt over all of the fuel he uses is eased.
