Though I think Fidel Castro has done an admirable job in defending his country for decades against U.S.-sponsored terrorism, a cruelly punitive embargo, and all manner of bizarre and sick U.S.-backed espionage and intrigue; I would, upon reflection, have to agree with you: Ho Chi Minh probably is the greatest leader of the 20th century given his resistance to FOUR imperial powers: France, Japan, the U.S., and, don't forget, China. After all, even the common ideology of communism could not erase the centuries old animosity that the Chinese and Vietnamese have held against each other.

dips*it vietnam is not a free country they are communist and poor as hell, ho chi min killed more of his own people than the americans and french combined did in vietnam
